*Behold* The Ultimate Hack To Removing Period Stains From Your Underwear:

Because not all underwear is the same, we have two ways to remove your period stains, depending on whether your knickers are white or brightly coloured.

#1 For White Underwear:

What you’ll need: A bottle of hydrogen peroxide, cold water and a sponge or washcloth.

Tips:

#1 Remember that hydrogen peroxide is a form of a bleaching agent and should only be used on white or very light underwear, clothing or bed linen.

#2 You can purchase a bottle of hydrogen peroxide from your local pharmacy or chemist.

#3 Try and act as quick as possible to prevent potential permanent stains.

#2 For Colourful Underwear:

What you’ll need: Regular salt, a glass of cold water and an old toothbrush.

Tips:

#1 For colourful knickers or clothing, use salt to prevent bleaching or white blotching.

#2 Stay away from using warm or hot water as it can permanently set the blood stains.

#3 The colder the water – the better chance of a quick fix.

Step 1: Rinse your knickers in cold water to loosen up the blood stain.

Step 2: Mix some salt (don’t be shy with the salt) and cold water into a small glass and stir with an old toothbrush (never to be used again as a toothbrush, please) to create a scrub-solution.

Step 3: Scrub the salt solution to the affected area with your toothbrush. The salt and cold water will help loosen the blood stain by drawing it out of the fibres. Scrub, scrub and scrub!

Step 4: Rinse with cold water.

Step 5: Repeat.
