We cannot get enough of the great things Nomzamo Mbatha is doing RN. As Mzansi’s Nubian princess, she is goals – and this month, she’s slaying the cover of COSMO. We’ve drawn some serious inspiration from her wise words on why femme is fabulous. Nomzamo is proving to be an unstoppable force in the world of African activism and we love her for it.
Nomzamo Mbatha Gets Fearlessly Femme For PUMA’s #DoYou Campaign
She’s the fresh face of PUMA’s #DoYou campaign, which has its own anthem video aimed at the fearless women of South Africa. The anthem video marks the culmination of a project that was launched on 8 March 2018, International Women’s Day. In admiration of everything female, Nomzamo took to Instagram and invited young women to share their #DoYou stories. Three stories stood out for Nomzamo – those of politics and social science student Chumani Mtshixa, production assistant Thembakazi Silevana and final-year BA student Yonela Mabi.
These three empowered young women joined Nomzamo for the filming of the anthem video in Jozi. What a rush. ‘I was inspired by these women’s fearlessness and deep authenticity in relaying their stories,’ Nomzamo said. ‘One of our common threads as human beings is our ability to overcome, and the women I chose displayed that trait incredibly.’
There’s no better way to celebrate the beauty of your feminine spirit and the strength of women around the world than to simply stay woke – and #DoYou, boo. For more information, visit Global.puma.com/en-za or connect with PUMA on social media:
