Nomzamo Mbatha just wore this throwback trend and now we want to wear it, too

This looks fiyah ??

The bold and bubbly actress, Nomzamo Mbatha, affectionately known as Thandeka on the local telenovela ‘Isibaya’, posted on Instagram yesterday wearing a Laviebyck wrap dress (that could also be a super-cool trench coat) OVER a pair of jeans. The celebrity designer, Claude Lavie Kameni, is based in Los Angeles and boasts insane designs, worn by celebrities and personalities such as YouTube star Jackie Aina, who also just recently collaborated with Naomi Campbell in her latest YouTube ‘GRWM’ video.

Nomzamo was seen rocking a dress-coat hybrid over jeans:

Nomzamo posted this pic, which was also posted by the designer, and fans are loving it! So, is this the new trend because we are in?!

In fact, this trend blew up in 2017 during fashion week, where other celebrities were snapped by street-style photographers wearing dress-over-pants looks. While the idea of it may bring back visions of your ’90s wardrobe (that you’d rather forget), the way it’s being done now is significantly more appealing. This trend often stages a comeback, and it’s totally underrated.

Nomzamo Mbatha is total style queen and is showing us exactly why we love scrolling on her Instagram feed — she’s always on top of the latest trends and LBH, she looks TDF in them.

I guess I’ll be rocking dresses over my jeans from now on, right?
