Gigi Hadid Had A Face Off With A Catwalk Crasher At The Chanel Show, Major OMG

This will live in my mind, forever

This is insane, Chanel’s finale show at Paris Fashion will live as a legacy. The show was catwalk-crashed and luckily for us, it was caught on camera! The woman, a guest at the show, jumped up from her seat and ran down to the catwalk to join the models during their last walk. The dreamy set was a recreation of Paris’s rooftops, set inside the Grand Palais.

The low down:

The catwalk crasher who has been identified as a comedian and Youtuber, Marie Benoliel (a.k.a. Marie S’Infiltre), attempted to blend in wearing a monochrome tweed skirt suit (similar to the likes of the Chanel signature). She blended in so well that the guards were clueless as to who the invader was! They eventually scurried to attempt getting the crasher off stage, but it was too late. By then, supermodel clique leader, Gigi Hadid, had gracefully walked to shoo the crasher off the stage.

Marie describes her particular sense of humor as ‘an exhaustive satire about our society’. Over the last four years, she has produced more than 100 YouTube videos where she immerses herself in public events and situations, deliberately. The Chanel show was the first ready-to-wear collection produced entirely by Karl Lagerfeld’s successor, Virginie Viard. The show was continued successfully by the professional models and now actual harm was done to the brand. However, it was not the first crash made by Marie, earlier this week she crashed the popular lingerie brand, Etam’s, runway show as well. See:

Her thoughts:

Marie had meant no harm to the brand or the models and described the incident as herself living a dream of always wanting to be a Chanel muse, adding: ‘The suit I was wearing on the catwalk actually belongs to my mom and she has been wearing it since I was born. Chanel is eternal. My tribute was a desire to take part in this eternity for a few minutes.’

Thank the fashion gods for social media. May this live on the internet forever.
