The chances of you scrolling through your feed and liking a gorgeous pair of Amina Muaddi shoes accidentally, or not, is high. These shoes have been taking over Instagram for a while now and have been seen on A-listers locally and beyond.

And, it’s no wonder — the Paris-based brand’s shoe creations are hard to miss! Amina shoes see an odd stiletto shape, with the heel flaring out to create a unique architectural effect that instantly catches your eye – their, now, trademark detail.

The girl behind the shoes

Half Romanian and half Jordanian, Amina Muaddi was raised in Italy and studied at the European Institute of Design. Amina started out in the fashion industry as a stylist for L’Uomo Vogue and GQ before fully immersing herself in the world of footwear. With inspiration from designers like Manolo Blahnik, Amina decided that footwear was her game, and after learning the ins and outs of the footwear industry, she co-founded her first shoe brand, Oscar Tiye.

However, her massive spike in fame came from her own line of uniquely shaped shoes using unconventional textures and colours, which is what lead her to become the go-to shoe girl for major celebs such as Rihanna, Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner. Think: whimsical heels, feathered and jewelled details, crystal-embellished sandals and transparent, Cinderella-inspired pumps.

In fact, Rihanna loves these shoes so much, she recently recruited Amina to help design the footwear for the latest Fenty collection. However, its not her first gig with Fenty, as her shoes were previously featured in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie show during New York Fashion Week.

Amina has limited stock on her e-commerce site, but works closely with the buyers at the ultra-cool London boutique, Browns Fashion, and even created an exclusive jungle-theme collection for the store.

The shoes are even on Bonang’s radar… Ok, so she basically took to Twitter to call out those who are wearing fake Amina shoes:

Scandal!

My heart says yes, but my bank account keeps screaming no, ugh.
