All The TDF Street Style Looks from AFI CPT Fashion Week 2019

We spy winter style inspo

This weekend we attended African Fashion International Cape Town Fashion Week where the likes of Maxhosa by Laduma, Marianne Fassler, Shana Morland and Imprint ZA showcased their latest designs. Besides an immense amount of talent on the runway, fashion-week-goers served some TDF street style looks! You guys certainly proved a massive point – you don’t need to be adorned with designer labels to serve ‘high end’ lewks. Scroll down to see who killed it with their fashion week OTTDs and the winter trends they got us all excited to wear, RN.

The Must-See Street Style Looks from CP AFI Fashion Week:

1 Trend Spotted: White Boots

We love the play on patterns and textures in this look. A pair of patent white boots, paired with a sheer midi dress and finished off with a houndstooth coat makes this look flawless.

2 Trend Spotted: Neon Brights

Neon is still a major trend and we love that it is been incorporated into a skirt-suit and finished off with an equally bright bum bag in this on-fleek look.

3 Trend Spotted: The Itsy Bitsy Clutch

The perfect teeny tiny bag is the addition you need to round off any night-time look. We love this red chain clutch paired with a vintage Dolce coat.

4 Trend Spotted: Animal Print

In case you’ve been outta the loop, like, big-time – animal print is here to slay! Whether you opt for a bold pair of trousers or embrace the trend by using a small accessory, both the below zebra belt and snakeskin bell bottoms are a great addition to a monochrome look.

5 Trend Spotted: Mellow Yellow

Gigi Hadid and Riri have set the bar high in the ‘head-to-toe in yellow’ department. Andie Pringan (below) did not disappoint! We love the addition of her hat and the placement of her hair completes this outfit perfectly.

6 Trend Spotted: Futuristic Metallics

Shameemah gives us double shine in the below look. Silver glitter elements combined with a textured, fur jacket is what we are here for!

7 Trend Spotted: Colour Blocking

Punchy pink and orange are the perfect hues to combine when opting for a colour blocking situation. Up the ante by matching your eye-shadow to either tone, like Ash (below).

8 Trend Spotted: High Shine

High-shine accessories are the perfect pick-me-up for any pastel ensemble.

9 Trend spotted: The Logo Bag

Every fashionista has some form of logo bag in her closet. This retro-feel Coca-Cola bag is arm-candy goals.

10 Trend Spotted: The Shorts Suit

The shorts-suit is the perfect transitional outfit to have. Perfect all-year-around, pair yours with heels or flats, and a little retro shade, in the form of ’80s sunnies, for extra sass.

11 Trend Spotted: Vinyl

This look incorporates three of our fave trends! The snakeskin print combined with a high-shine vinyl mini skirt and high-shine heels making for a winning outfit formula.

12 Trend Spotted: Shoulder Dusters

Slicked back hair is easily countered by tassel earrings. Opt for ones in bold, juicy hues, because – it’s fashun, darling.

13 Trend Spotted: The Anything-But-Boring Suit

Pair a suit in pretty pastel hue, like icy blue, with an overload of chain necklaces, and white sneakers, for a clean yet fashion-forward aesthetic.

14 Trend Spotted: Faux Fur

A faux fur jacket is the perfect cover up to add that 3D texture to your look.

And, fashion week season out!
