We will see you at the march!

It’s always a good time to speak up, be heard and take a stand against gender-based violence. But as #16DaysofActivism 2017 kicks off – starting 25th November – now is an especially poignant opportunity to take to the streets.

So join us as we take part in the inaugural People Against Women Abuse (POWA) walkathon, where thousands of women – including the COSMO team – will walk in unity. Our goal? To break the silence around gender-based violence. To end crimes against women. To support victims and survivors of sexual crimes and assault. To say that enough is enough.

Plus, as COSMO we’ll be on the ground talking to all of you live about why you march. It’s an exciting chance to join your sisters in a time where violence against women remains horrifyingly commonplace.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • There is a 3km and 5km option – we’re doing the 5km.
  • It’s on Sunday 26th November starting at 7am.
  • It’ll kick off at Jo’burg’s Mofolo Park, and end early afternoon.
  • You can get your tickets here – bring a picnic with you.

Signed up? Fab! Now all that’s left is your poster for your to rock on the day, as part of taking a stand. And we’ve made that easy! Click on your favourite poster below, which we’ve partnered with illustrator Lambi Chibambo to create – to download it for FREE, so you can print it for the day.
