Where to take your date for Valentine’s Day in Cape Town

Where to spend date night in the Mother City.

Still don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day? It’s not too late to book something special for you and bae. Here are a few of the best Valentine’s Day specials in Cape Town this year:

Enjoy dinner and live music

Lou Lou’s in the Cape Quarter is hosting a night of good food and live music for their Eat, Drink and Be Mine V-Day event. Lou Lou’s is known for keeping the champagne flowing and you’ll get a free glass of Pongraçz upon arrival. Party at the Radisson, babysitter included

Having kids can make fitting in date nights nearly impossible. Save yourself the trouble of finding a babysitter this Valentine’s Day and head to Radisson RED, where they’ll look after your children for you while you enjoy your meal. Their kids’ corner will be equipped with playdough and movies, as well as a ping pong table for those too old to still be entertained by Peppa Pig.

Have a romantic picnic at Spier

For those who want the cute and quirky picnic experience but don’t want to be eating sandwiches out of Tupperwares on the most romantic night of the year, Spier will be hosting the ultimate picnic experience. Pick up your picnic basket featuring fine cheese, baguette, charcuterie, and chocolate mousse, lay down your blanket, pop your Spier bubbly and watch the sunset while listening to Matt Carstens on the lawn.

Cape Town Valentine's Day specials

Have a sea-side feast

Harbour House Kalk Bay is perched on the rocks so you’ll be surrounded by sea views and the sounds of waves crashing around you all night. Romantic AF. For Valentine’s Day couples can enjoy a five-course dinner featuring West Coast oysters, beetroot-cured scallops, and a slow-cooked pork belly or kingklip parsley risotto for mains. There will be live music to set the mood, and you’ll also get a bottle of bubbly.
