My boyfriend and I recently stayed over at the beautiful Radisson RED, Cape Town. Keep reading for just five reasons why I’d recommend the hotel to anyone.
Here are just five reasons why you should stay at Radisson RED, Cape Town
1 The service is bomb
At check-in, we were offered a welcome drink and the overall process was super quick and easy. The lady who helped us was friendly and gave us all the info we needed.
Check out was at 12pm, as opposed to 10am or 11am like most hotels. This was super quick and painless, too. Both check in and check out can be done via the Radisson RED app, which also provides more about the hotel, nearby sights and more!
2 The room is equipped with everything you need
We headed to our room – a studio complete with a comfy king bed, free high-speed wi-fi (yass), aircon, a massive TV with satellite connection, block out blinds (my fave thing) and a spectacular view of the dockyard and Table Mountain.
It was also equipped with a fridge, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, kettle, coffee, tea and water – which is pretty much standard. Something that did stand out for me, though, was the child-proof showers which require you to push a button to activate the hot water.
Oh, and did you know that the hotel is pet-friendly? The next time I stay, I’ll defs be taking baby Eevee with!
3 The small things
We headed to a super cute gin bar set up around the reception area, where we were welcomed with a complimentary drink
In our room, we had a bottle of wine, a pair of sexy socks, a thank you note and caramel popcorn (how cute) waiting for us.
These extra touches made us feel special and added a personal touch to our stay, which I loved!
4 The OUIBar + KTCHN & Red Roof Bar
From the cutest red caravan serving the best brews available to the incredible views of Table Mountain, the Red Roof bar is a vibe! You can order and enjoy various meals while you enjoy the views and toasty-ness from the heaters scattered around.
After drinks on the roof, we headed to OUIBar + KTCHN for supper. My boyfriend and I both opted for steaks, which we both really enjoyed. ‘Coz it was my bf’s birthday, they even created a surprise birthday plate of basically all of the desserts available on the menu. So cute!
We headed to the same spot for breakfast, which started at 6am – perfect for those who need an early start.
The hotel is located in the Silo District and is a short walk from the V&A Waterfront – which means you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to food, art and shopping.
