There’s nothing the Internet likes more than having a big debate about something trivial. We did it with The Dress™. We did it with a pair of Vans. And now we’re doing it with the ‘Yanny and Laurel’.
If you don’t know WTF we’re talking about (what have you been doing – IMPORTANT THINGS?), the Internet was swarmed with reactions to an automated female voice yesterday, after different people noticed they hear different things. Do you hear Yanny or Laurel?
And while we’re here, let’s take a look back at six other things that divided the Internet’s opinions.
1 Yanny or Laurel?
What do you hear?! Yanny or Laurel pic.twitter.com/jvHhCbMc8I

The more we listen, the more we can’t understand how someone would be able to hear the opposite word.
2 Black and blue dress or gold and white dress?
— Robert Flores (@RoFlo) February 27, 2015
The original Internet divider.
3 Pink and white Vans or teal and grey Vans?

4 Shiny legs or painted legs?
are these legs shiny and oily or are they legs with white paint on them pic.twitter.com/7Z8e8F1JCZ

Once you see the paint stripes, you probably won’t be able to see the shiny legs any more.
5 White and gold or blue and gold flip-flops?
Like The Dress but in shoe form.
6 Blue and grey dresser or pink and white dresser?
Here we go again…..
Is this chest of drawers Blue & Grey or Pink & White?

Pink? Blue? BOTH? WHO KNOWS.
7 White and blue or black and brown Adidas jacket?
Our brains hurt.
8 ‘Brainstorm’ or ‘Green Needle’
Think the Laurel or Yanny thing is weird?
You can hear the words ‘Brainstorm’ or ‘Green Needle’ based on which word you think about. Try it.pic.twitter.com/7TrS9XNhNR
