We know that your education and your experience play a role in determining how much money you make each month, but a new study has found that your personality type can make or break your bank account too.
A new report from Career Assessment Site uses the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test – which sorts people into 16 personality types, based on whether you’re introverted or extroverted, intuitive or sensing, thinking or feeling, and perceptive or judgmental (take the Myers-Briggs here.) – to figure out which personality types earn the most money.
Here’s an overview of the types:
ENTJ (extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and judgmental types) with more than $80,000 (about R900 000) household income. They’re also known for being honest, decisive, goal-oriented, and impulsive.
The arty crowd, like shy and emotional INFPs (introverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive) are the lowest earners, averaging around $60,000 (about R680 000).
