Noni Gasa is offering one fashion designer a R470 000 bursary to help them fulfil their dreams

Get a bursary, but make it fashion!

Fashion and media personality, Noni Gasa is helping ambitious fashion designers fulfil their dreams by giving them the opportunity to kickstart their careers by awarding the Noni Gasa Bursary valued at R470 000 to one deserving applicant.

In partnership with Design Academy Of Fashion (DAF) in Cape Town, The Noni Gasa Bursary offers one deserving student the chance to pursue a 3-year Diploma in Fashion in 2020. Yes! That’s right, this bursary will give you the chance to propel your dreams. You may remember the fierce Noni Gasa as a resident judge on Project Runway South Africa. This boss babe is passionate about unearthing the next generation of African talent and is calling for applications from prospective design students who are unable to afford private education.

Applications close on 30 October 2019 and the winner will be announced in the press on 7 November 2019.

What does the bursary offer:

You better hold on tight for this one:  In addition to getting tuition fees covered, the beneficiary of The Noni Gasa Bursary will receive R5 000 a month towards their transport and accommodation in Cape Town, R1 000 per month from Woolworths Food, unlimited mobile data from Rain for three years, top-of-the-range sewing machines and an overlocker from Elna, as well as their textbooks and art kits.

Get this, applicants are not required to have previous design experience but will have to demonstrate their creative and artistic flair, by submitting a trend storyboard and hand-drawn sketches of their original designs. Remember, applications close on 30 October 2019 and the winner will be announced in the press on 7 November 2019.
