How To Keep Friends Forever pg2

Good friends – the kind you keep your whole life – are the most precious thing you’ll ever possess.

It’s 2am, and you and your BFF have just arrived home after one of the craziest, fun-nest nights of your life. You pull on your PJs and, as you make tea and toast, giggle over the evening’s shenanigans. It’s hard to imagine you’ll ever be anything but tight. But then she gets a job in another town. At first you take turns travelling to spend every weekend together, but after a while this starts happening less and less. You meet a guy, she meets a guy and before you know it you haven’t caught up properly in six months. So, was the friendship not as solid as you thought it was? Not necessarily. You just need to be realistic.

Maybe she’s met a guy and wants to be with him 24/7; perhaps she’s met new friends at work and they’re taking up her time. It can be hard not feeling left out and rejected, but instead of sulking, try telling her honestly how you feel. Chances are she’s been so swept up in stuff that she’s not even aware of the fact that you’re feeling neglected. Meet her for a cup of coffee and tell her, simply, that you miss her. Give her the chance to explain what’s been happening in her life. If she’s going through a really hectic stage, you might have to give her a bit of space. Let her know you’re there for her if she needs you.
