Lerato Kganyago has launched her own line of sanitary pads

Is it weird that we’re looking forward to buying pads?

Finally, some good news. Lerato Kganyago has launched a line of sanitary pads, and she will soon be rolling them out for free to women in rural areas.

Somewhere in between getting low-key married and creating her beauty brandΒ Flutter, Lerato found the time to focus on a product that shows she really cares about South African women’s health. The sanitary pads are part of her Flutter brand and are entirely self-funded. Lerato has been working on this project quietly for months, and it looks like they’re finally ready to be released.

Twitter was full of support for her latest endeavour, from women looking forward to trying her product to men proudly announcing they’ll be buying them for their girlfriends. We love to see it.

She also shared that the first batch of pads will be distributed to women in rural areas, for free:

The pads are manufactured by a business owned by a black woman, all the more reason to support the brand.

Like Lerato, we can’t wait for the lockdown to end so her rollout can begin properly and we can support this proudly South African product!
