FNB Have Launched a Health-Rewards Programme, and the Discounts Are Legit!

Paying for a spa day with eBucks? Yes, paleese!

Banking apps are usually only good for buying data on-the-go and hurting your feelings by showing receipts for every thoughtless swipe you’ve ever done. But FNB has just added a health rewards system to their app which is going to give you discounts for gym, spas, workout gear, healthy food, and even healthcare. And it’s free!

The nav-igate section of the FNB app is designed to help you make good money decisions. Here you’ll find tips on buying and selling a house, the option to renew your license disc of your car, your credit status, and now, their wellness rewards system.

One of the most exciting features is the option to queue jump when getting your prescriptions from the pharmacy. Now you can take a photo of your prescription, upload it through the app, and you’ll get notified when it’s ready for collection within two hours. It’s not uncommon to walk into Dis-Chem for one item and leave with so many packets you need someone to help you carry them to the car, so the less time we spend in there the better.

The Wellness section also has hella discounts, both permanent and ones that change every month. The permanent perks include money off genetic testing, which can give you some really useful insights into your health, weight, and sports performance. You can also use your eBucks to pay for some of the services, so essentially could have a spa-day for free!

Permanent discounts:

  • 40% off a 12-month contract at VIVA Gyms.
  • 35% off a 10-session contract/75% off a trial voucher with Bodytec.
  • 20% off treatments at Life Day Spa during the week.
  • 25% off at BOUNCE Fit (the trampoline park!).
  • 25% off genetic testing at DNAlysis

July’s discounts:

  • Free trial voucher for Bodytec
  • 2 Bounce Fit tickets for the price of one. You can also buy one hour and get another free, because one hour of jumping on a trampoline is never enough.
  • 30% off a Swedish massage and flotation therapy session at Life Day Spa.
  • 50% off the cheaper one when you book two treatments at Life Day Spa.
  • 20% discount when you order from the Fitchef site.
  • A R150 Faithful to Nature voucher and a hamper when you get your first UCOOK box. Also, 30% off your first 3 UCOOK boxes.
  • R150 off one Faithful to Nature order and 20% off in the Lifestyle and Health categories of their online shop.

Besides all the sweet discounts you can also take their wellness and health quizzes, which help you to set goals and give you a general health rating. There aren’t any rewards for scoring high on the nutrition quiz yet, but they do call you a ‘Super Star’ if you get higher than 70% which is good for the ol’ self-esteem.
