Just do it, says sex therapist Bettina Arndt, author of The Sex Diaries (Melbourne University Press), who subscribes to the theory that sexual desire is a decision. ‘The female libido tends to be a very fragile, distractible creature, and so it’s very easy to come up with a long list of reasons why you don’t feel like having sex,’ she says. ‘Knowing all these things won’t help you – in the end you’ll have a miserable relationship if you’re constantly rejecting your partner.’ |
