It’s true! Jennifer Lopez will be joining Robin Thicke as headliners of this year’s ANN7’s South African of the Year Awards. Now, we know she doesn’t have a Mariah Carey voice but Jenny from the block is one of the best performers, ever. Remember how LIT her 2015 American Music Awards performance was?
We’re so excited, we’re like:
Last year, Christina Aguilera was meant to be the headliner but pulled out at the last minute and was replaced by Jason Derulo. This will be Jennifer Lopez’s first time performing in South Africa and, according to ANN7, she will be performing some of her biggest hits throughout the ceremony.
Does that include Love Don’t Cost A Thing and I’m Real?
We can’t even, right now!?
The awards will take place on 25 November at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg. Last year’s awards were changed from being open to the public to a closed event. It hasn’t been confirmed whether this year the event will be open to the public or not.
With Bonang Matheba, Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Jeannie D as the main presenters and now J Lo set to perform, these awards look really exciting.
Shout-out to ANN7 for bringing Jennifer Lopez, who has a Las Vegas concert residency at the AXIS Theatre. Thank you, Jennifer Lopez, for taking time out of your busy schedule to bless us with your dance moves. We can’t wait to see you, even if it’s just on TV.
We’ll be watching like:
