Huawei KDay, inspired by the Huawei Nova 5T, was everything and more!
The music festival was held as Meerendal Wine Estate, Durbanville once again and the crowd was incredible. Emo Adams and Tarryn Lamb made their debut on the Huawei KDay stage and the crowd lost it! Popular R&B singer Rowlene also made her debut and did exactly what she set out to do – she had the crowd in the palm of her hand with her epic set.
The other acts included Carbon Voyage, who even brought Ard Matthews on stage as a special surprise.
Penny Diao, marketing director at Huawei Consumer Business Group South Africa, expressed their commitment to supporting local artists:
‘At Huawei, we believe in challenging the status quo and dreaming the impossible. Music festivals such as Huawei KDay allow us to support young artists. This year, together with kFM, we ran our Nova Nation competition, which allowed young and upcoming artists to showcase their musical talent. We will continue to support musical talent in South Africa through our association with kFM and Huawei KDay.’

Can we talk about the gorgeous kFM94.5 presenters, please? Sherlin Barends, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Saskia Falken Hickey, Tracey Lange, Mamohau Seseane, Sibongile Mafu and Zoë Brown were styled by COSMO in H&M South Africa pieces and were the ultimate festival-fashion muses.
Is it weird that we’re already counting down to Huawei KDay 2021? Let the countdown begin!
