COSMO and Archers Aqua recently invited 28 of South Africa’s most inspirational fun, fearless females to enjoy a fabulous lunch at Radisson Blu, Sandton, in Johannesburg to celebrate their achievements.
The 28 women, including a chef and owner of Food Design company, shipmaster, professional cyclist, farmer, scientist and musician were selected by COSMOPOLITAN, in association with Archers Aqua, to appear in a special feature in the December issue. These leading ladies are stars in their own careers and, in so doing, have become examples to other women who strive for success.
Guests were offered Archers Aqua on arrival and were welcomed by Rebecca Whisson, COSMOPOLITAN’s business-development manager. Then, inspiring guest speaker Elana Afrika illustrated how to challenge your fears with tales of her own experiences as a fun, fearless female.
A delicious three-course lunch was served by Radisson Blu. Singer Lira provided the entertainment and had everyone up on their feet by the end of the lunch.
Each fun, fearless female was introduced and presented with a certificate and a goody bag with great gifts from including Gatineau and Maybelline products, Woolworths designer sparkling wine, Cell C WINC starter packs and beautiful watches and bracelets from Archers Aqua. The inspirational women were also showcased in a magnificent audiovisual presentation put together by Morne Neuhoff from Mode Productions, in which guests got a look behind the scenes at the magazine spread being put together, as well as hear some anecdotes about the fun side of fearless females’ lives.
Flowers on the tables were provided by NetFlorist. A lucky-draw hamper was won by lucky ladies on the day sponsored by Health Spa Guide while movie tickets vouchers were included courtesy of Archers Aqua. A special thanks to Radisson Blu for hosting the event, Elana Afrika for being our guest speaker and Lira for entertaining all the guests.
Thanks, also, to Archers Aqua for being our sponsor for the event.
