She was standing alone at the bus stop so I made my move… and told the guys hassling her to back off. That is no way to treat a woman.

‘I pledge to call out street harassment.’

For 16 Days of Activism, and to raise awareness around gender-based violence (GBV) in South Africa, COSMOPOLITAN has invited eight male celebrities to take a pledge and stand up to everyday sexual harassment of women.

#COSMOMenStandUp asks men and people of all genders to stand in solidarity with women to create a united force for gender equality. For every pledge or engagement of support, COSMO will donate R1 to HeForShe, a UN Women-backed initiative that champions a systematic approach for a gender-equal and non-violent world.
