In a move that is truly impressive, Princess Eugenie—who, reminder, got married after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—already sent thank-you letters to royal fans who mailed well-wishes for her wedding. Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan tied the knot in May, and six months later they’re still sending out their thank-you notes.
And now, Kensington Palace has somewhat hilariously taken to sending an apology note along with the standard thank-you cards to people waiting. Per Hello Magazine, the note comes from the head of the Correspondence Section at Clarence House, Claudia Spens. It reads:
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have asked me to thank you for your letter of 24th May and I must apologise for the delay in responding to you. As I am sure you can imagine, this has been a particularly busy time for this office and we have, consequently, been unable to reply as quickly as we should have liked to.
Not saying Eugenie is living for this moment, but also not not saying that. And BTW, you can see the note over this way thanks to a fan who helpfully posted it on her blog.
