Nasty C has opened up about his (otherwise very private) relationship with longtime girlfriend, Sam, for the first time.
According to TshisaLIVE, Nasty C and Sam – aka Sammie – have been together since high school. And while Nasty C has been pretty private about his relationship, he did post this cute AF TB pic of the two of them, which he captioned: ‘Before the racks came’.
Sammie tweeted the same pic recently, saying: ‘Sammie and Junior sitting on a tree’. Cute, right?
In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Nasty C talks about how he didn’t want to expose her to his growing fame early on in their relationship, to avoid distracting her while she was in her final year at high school.
‘Before I didn’t wanna do none of that because she was still in high school and in matric too. I didn’t want to do that to her, you know distract her. Plus I was still kind of blowing up and it was hard for me to adjust, so I wanted to give her time.
‘She’s cool now and understands that she’s a part of it. She’s blown up too now. Since we’ve kind of went public, she even gets stopped for pics and stuff and she smiles and takes the selfies,’ the rapper explained.
The 21-year-old went on to talk about the music he’s written about his girl on his first album Bad Hair and, of course, his most recent offering, Strings and Bling.
On the albums, he details how Sam has stuck with him despite him cheating and acting ‘too brand new’ for her.
The song ‘SMA (Send Me Away)’ (also SAM jumbled up!) on Strings and Bling details their fights and how their love has kept them together through everything.
Ah, young love! We can’t wait to see/hear more from these two.
