The legendary Black Coffee is intent on blessing us over and over again, and this time, it’s with his new music with Usher.
The pair first announced on Instagram that they’d be performing together at the Global Citizen Festival this past Sunday. Chilling on the hood of a car, the Instagram caption read, ‘Catch us on stage at Global Citizen Festival, Sunday 2pm SAST! #Mandela100’.
I mean, Black Coffee is international now – chilling with the likes of Diddy, collaborations with David Guetta, and all those Ibiza sets have made him part of the musical elite! Honestly, we’re not surpised because he’s always been legendary status to us. Remember when he DJ’d for 60 hours straight? So, we’ve always known, okay?
He wrote on Twitter: ‘New music coming out with @usher,’ while sharing a video snippet into what that music sounds like and no one was ready!

Black Coffee also introduced Usher to one South Africa’s most loved genre’s of music, Gqom, by jamming to Babes Wodumo’s Wololo on a drive to Pretoria.

And if you haven’t been keeping up with any DJ Coffee news; he’s also teamed up with Virgil Abloh to open an art school in South Africa. The DJ spoke to Billboard and mentioned how the art school, which will be based in Johannesburg, would be designed by his friend Virgil. ‘We’ve been working on building a music, art and fashion school in a deserted part of Johannesburg,’ Black Coffee said.
Well done, Black Coffee! Keep waving that flag high.
