Enhle Mbali chats beauty, life lessons and turning 30
What’s your go-to beauty routine?
I have a oily T-Zone, so I wash and moisturise my face twice a day.
What’s your favourite accessory RN?
My wigs! I love feeling that I’m not tied down to one hair style – there’s a feeling of absolute freedom in that.
How do you stay in shape?
I do boxing and weightlifting – it works wonders for my body type.
Name one of the biggest ways you grew during your 20s?
Having children was a big ‘aha’ moment for me, which made me realise that it wasn’t just about me anymore. I’m grateful that it made me responsible and taught me how to say ‘no’ – something that was very hard for me before.
Name one thing you’ve learnt about your:
You only get one chance with it – look after it from the get go, get a routine that works for you and stick to it.
Like your skin, you get it once off. Eat what makes you happy, whether it’s what tastes good for the moment or what makes you happy in terms of your #bodygoals.
Don’t obsess over perfection – it doesn’t exist and make the best of the body you have.
Keep your old friends as they will always humble you and won’t hold back by telling you the truth. They’re also a constant reminder of what you have always wanted for yourself.
Most importantly, be a great friend yourself.
Work at your own pace , give yourself room to make mistakes and then learn from them.
What are you most looking forward to most as you enter your 30s?
Living life in the ‘I don’t care lane’ and rather caring about the things that actually matter.
What do you hope to learn in your 30s?
I have no expectations as I’ve learned that disappointments are born that way, so I’m taking it as it comes.
In essence, I’m going to #SimplyLive, #SimplyLove the #SimplyEnhle way.
