Thirty-one-year-old Motlatsi Moqeti, the man accused of conspiring to murder the wife of alleged genital mutilator Pieter Frederiksen, was due to apply for bail today in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court, but his application has now been postponed to January 13.
Anna Matseliso Molise was shot outside her home in Lesotho and police are said to believe the killing was part of an organised hit arranged by Friederiksen. According to News24, Friederiksen offered to pay Moqeti to kill his wife. Molise was a key witness and assisted the police with crucial information in the ongoing case against her 63-year-old husband who is accused of mutilating women and keeping their clitoris’s in his freezer. Friederiksen was arrested in September this year after police found 21 clitorises neatly labelled in plastic bags at his home in Bloemfontein. Anaesthetic drugs, pornographic photographs of children and surgical equipment were also discovered reported EWN.
Friederiksen is facing nine charges including assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, manufacturing child pornography, distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, conspiracy to murder and bigamy. He is also wanted in Denmark with regards to illegal arms dealing.
