The Black Panther Soundtrack is Out and These SA Musicians Are Representing

These fabulous SA artists feature in the upcoming movie’s soundtrack

The Black Panther movie made it clear it’s here to f*ck sh*t up and snatch all the edges.

In between the all-black cast and collaborators, isiXhosa as the official language of Wakanda, and the sensational, Afro-futurist costume-design, the months leading up to Marvel’s most anticipated installment have left us hyped AF.

If the Black Panther crew looking like red carpet royalty at the LA premier wasn’t enough to whet your appetite for the action to come, the soundtrack for Black Panther (produced by King Kendrick Lamar) is out.

In addition to featuring faves like SZA, Jorja Smith, Anderson.Paak, and The Weeknd, the album has another surprise we never saw coming.

The epic comic book soundtrack not only includes names from the most influential names in music RN, but it also features South Africa’s own Babes Wodumo, Sjava, Yugen Blakrok, Reason, and Saudi.

The artists trailblazing their way through gqom, hip-hop, afro-soul, and rap have hit the international big time. The shout-out on Black Panther is just the icing on the culture cake.

Along with South African legends John Kani, his son Atandwa Kani, and Connie Chiume starring in the film, as well as David Tlale dressing Florence Kasumba at the star-studded premier, SA is sure taking the world by storm.

You can get your hands on the album on 9 February 2018  🙌🏿 🙌🏿 🙌🏿

P.S Beyonce may have a surprise Black Panther appearance 👀
