The Sussex fam is starting their tour, which is their first as a family with Archie, in Cape Town today, where they will be greeted by the British High Commissioner to South Africa, Nigel Casey.
The 10-day tour will see them attend 35 engagements, and today’s agenda includes a visit to a township where they will meet local residents doing good in their community.
It’s been a busy few days for the couple, who were in Rome at the weekend to attend the wedding of a close friend and designer Misha Nonoo, who is rumoured to have introduced the couple to one another.
Nonoo also recently worked with Meghan on her Smart Set initiative, a capsule collection of workwear for women benefiting the charity Smart Works, and according to reports, Meghan gave a special reading of ‘The Vow’ by Roger McGough at the wedding.
