5 new Christmas movies on Netflix that will keep things festive this year

We all have our favourite Christmas movies that we queue up every festive season. Whether it might be a classic like It’s A Wonderful Life, a modern classic like Love Actually or a controversial addition like Die Hard, it is part of our annual traditions. But for the past few years, Netflix has been changing up the system, dropping some fun and entertaining holiday movies that will give you that warm and fuzzy feeling. With movies like A Christmas Prince and The Princess Switch we are ready to get all up into the Christmas spirit.

Here’s what’s on the Netflix Christmas movies’ slate:

1. Let It Snow

When a snowstorm hits a small midwestern town on Christmas Eve, a group of high school seniors find their friendships and love lives colliding thanks to a stranded pop star, a stolen keg, a squad of competitive dancers, a mysterious woman covered in tin foil, and an epic party at the local Waffle Town. Come Christmas morning, nothing will be the same. Starring Kiernan Shipka, Shameik Moore, Isabela Merced.

2. Klaus

Klaus tells the story of Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) is a postman stationed on an island above the Arctic Circle. He thinks the feuding locals are hopeless until he finds an ally in a local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones) and discovers Klaus. Klaus is a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of toys. This allyship brings a new life to the town of Smeerensburg.

3. The Knight Before Christmas

After a magical sorceress transports a medieval knight, Cole (Josh Whitehouse) to present-day Ohio, he makes friends with a school teacher named Brooke (Vanessa Hudgens), a teacher. Brooke helps Cole navigate the modern world and complete his question.

4. Holiday Rush

Popular radio DJ, Rush Williams (Romany Malco) has been giving his children everything since their mother died. But he loses his job and is unable to buy them gifts. But if the Williams family can downsize and live a simpler life, there might be a better option.

5. A Christmas Prince: Royal Baby 

Queen Amber (Rose McIver) and King Richard (Ben Lamb) are preparing for the birth of their first child. But before that, they are hosting King Tai (King Shen) and Queen Ming (Momo Yeung) of Penglia. But when a priceless treaty goes missing, peace is jeopardised and an ancient curse looms. Amber has to discover who the thief is before midnight on Christmas Eve.
