It’s been a whirlwind for Zozibini Tunzi since she won Miss Universe this weekend. She immediately moved to New York City and has been interviewed by various US media, and now even more people are falling in love with our queen.
Look at her walking the streets of NYC, she looks like she is in her element:

Her first interview since becoming Miss Universe was with morning show, Good Morning America. In her interview with Michael Strahan, she discussed getting a shoutout from Oprah, how she wants to change the narrative about what is considered beautiful and even her attempt to become an Expresso presenter.
‘I was hoping to change that narrative and to say, look, women are multifaceted. We’re not all the same, we shouldn’t be boxed into one type of beauty,’ she said in the interview.

She then went on to appear on Live with Kelly and Ryan and was interviewed by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. She spoke about the beauty of the beaches in the Eastern Cape, how her mom introduced her to pageantry to combat her shyness:
She’s also been enjoying her new apartment in New York City. She will be sharing it with Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, and it seems like the pair love being roommates:

In more, what a time to be alive news… – Recently crowned Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, and Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst, are now roommates and we can’t get enough of it! (Swipe) – Kryst took to social media to congratulate Tunzi on her historic win Sunday night. “Congrats to our new Miss Universe, @zozitunzi!!!! You represented us with class and grace and humility and I’m thrilled that I can call you a sister and, now, ROOMMATE!! Swipe for a little #BGM because, you guessed it, Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss America are all women of color!!!!!!!” – Her reference to #BGM, also known as #BlackGirlMagic was floating all through the social media waves after the crowning of Tunzi as Miss Universe this weekend. Tunzi is the first Black South African to win the title and this is the first time in history that all of the major pageants have crowned a Black woman in the same year. – What we love about this most is the fact that two, intelligent, beautiful Black women are supporting one another and exemplifying what it means to be your sister's keeper on a world stage. – The two shared their excitement online posting, "ya'll we've already started matching, this is only day one!" – The Miss Universe pageant was held at the new Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. After her win, Tunzi took to Instagram to share her thoughts. “Tonight a door was opened and I could not be more grateful to have been the one to have walked through it. May every little girl who witnessed this moment forever believe in the power of her dreams and may they see their faces reflected in mine,” she said. – As Miss Universe, Tunzi will now be responsible for being the face of a number of the organization’s initiatives. She will be working to create positive change through volunteering, fundraising and advocacy. And with Kryst as her roommate, I’m sure the two will be showing up in a big way. Because what happens when two Black Queens get together? Queen things! – We are so inspired! #becauseofthemwecan
Zozi also posted a beautiful picture of herself with her Miss Universe crown on with the caption, ‘So here the crown sits, beautifully so on my kinky coarse hair.✨ Forever grateful!’
I can’t wait to see what she does next!
