- Kim and Khloé Kardashian have been called out by Jameela Jamil for MONTHS now over their weight loss ad—and now we know how they really feel about it.
- Jameela has called the Kardashian’s “double agents of the patriarchy” and “toxic,” so this should be interesting…
Jameela Jamil might be famous for her role on The Good Place, but she’s definitely also become well known for responding to celebs when they promote awful, no good weight loss scams, such as appetite suppressant lollipops or meal replacement shakes.
In the past few months, Jameela has called out Kim Kardashian for some of her Insta ads, calling her a “terrible and toxic influence on young girls” and saying that Kim’s post “makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.”
Jameela has also responded to Khloé’s promotion of Flat Tummy shakes, commenting on her Insta #ad, “If you’re too irresponsible to a) own up to the fact that you have a personal trainer, nutritionist, probable chef, and a surgeon to achieve your aesthetic, rather than this laxative product…And b) tell them the side effects of this NON-FDA approved product, that most doctors are saying aren’t healthy […] then I guess I have to.”
This is all also not to mention that Jameela has previously called the Kardashians “double agents for the patriarchy,” so yeah, it’s super safe to say that she’s not amped on how the Kardashians make their $$.
No. Fuck off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls. I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to. ☹️ pic.twitter.com/zDPN1T8sBM

Well, now we finally know how Kim and Khloé feel about Jameela’s comments, and they seem…pretty unapologetic. In an interview with the The New York Times, when asked about Jameela’s criticisms, Khloé responded, “I don’t live in that negative energy space. Ninety percent of people will be really excited about the family and the journey and who we are.”
Khloé also added that she’s never had a chef and that she shares her workouts on Snapchat, saying, “Well, listen, I am showing you what to do, silly person, 15 repetitions, three times, here’s the move…” It’s not clear whether she’s calling her followers or Jameela the “silly person,” but either way this doesn’t seem like the greatest excuse!
Kim talked about the finical motivations behind some of her Insta ads, saying, “If there is work that is really easy that doesn’t take away from our kids, that’s like a huge priority, if someone was faced with the same job opportunities, I think they would maybe consider. You’re going to get backlash for almost everything so as long as you like it or believe in it or it’s worth it financially, whatever your decision may be, as long as you’re O.K. with that.”
So basically, don’t expect Kim and Khloé to stop with these toxic promotions anytime soon. 😑
