Springbok Faf de Klerk fights for testicular cancer with the #FafChallenge

‘Be ballsy enough to check your balls!’

Since the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup, a few weeks ago, one of the most meme-able moments was Faf de Klerk flaunting his South African flag undies. Now he is putting it to good use, by promoting testicular cancer awareness with the #FafChallenge.

The scrum-half featured in many post-game videos drinking from the cup and meeting Prince Harry while proudly sporting the underwear. It even made an appearance on the Trophy Tour when he flashed it from the bus and even gave Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu a glimpse.

He has since partnered with Cipla to help raise awareness of testicular cancer. The #FafChallenge website reveals that testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men (aged 15 – 49). The website also gives men tips on how to check their testicles for anything that might be a cause of worry.

The #FafChallenge encourages men to get in their speedo (or underwear) and pose for a pic in order to spread the word about the cause. Faf challenged captain Siya Kolisi and Jesse Kriel, which in turn caused a chain reaction.
