Two Miss SAs will be announced
Two Miss SAs will be announced from the top five finalists. One will be crowned Miss World South Africa and the other Miss Universe South Africa. They will go on to compete in each of the respective international pageants.
But there’ll still be one overall winner
Because there can only be one Miss SA, an overall winner will still be chosen. Miss World South Africa and Miss Universe South Africa will each be asked a final question to determine who will take the crown as the official Miss SA 2018.
The prize package is insane
Miss SA 2018 will walk away with R3-million in prizes – making it the biggest prize package in the pageant’s history.
The newly crowned Miss SA will win R1-million in cash, a Nissan Qashqai worth R445 500, fully furnished accommodation for the duration of her reign and access to designs from some of SA’s best designers for red-carpet events.
Some of the other prizes include Smashbox makeup products and applications, fashion from Forever New, Cell C voice and data contracts, Discovery Insure insurance and medical aid, Call It Spring footwear, and a Samsung S9+, Tablet and Gear Fit Pro Red.
And ICYMI, here’s a look at the top 12 finalists
