- Serena Williams hosted Meghan Markle’s baby shower in NYC and it reportedly cost a cool $200k (roughly R2 794 980).
- Kate Middleton wasn’t in attendance, but Meghan’s having another shower in England.
- Meghan flew home on a jet that cost more than my entire life.
In case you missed it, Meghan Markle’s friends (by which I mean Serena Williams) just threw her a $200,000 (roughly R2 794 980) baby shower at New York City’s The Mark. And um, it went down in the largest/most expensive hotel penthouse suite in the entire country.
But the extravagance didn’t stop there, mmmkay? Meghan flew back to ye olde England on Wednesday night, and The Daily Mail reports that she rode in style thanks to a luxury private jet that cost $125,000 (roughly R1 746 862). And apparently, she flew to the States in said jet as well, which means the entire trip cost $250k (roughly R3 493 725). Cool-cool-cool.
Kensington Palace confirmed that this trip was privately funded, which means no, taxpayers aren’t paying for Meghan’s sweet ride. Everyone calm down!
Oh, and on an unrelated-but-super-cute note, Meghan left NYC wearing a necklace which fans think says ‘mommy.’ Awwww.
