Rapper, actress and mother of Kulture, Cardi B took a trip to West Africa this weekend to perform in Nigeria and Ghana and it looked lit AF.
As her fans, we followed along on her Instagram as she documented her trip.
The Bodak Yellow rapper prepped for the trip by listening to staple, Davido’s Fall and tbh we can’t think of a better song:

While in Lagos, she also adopted a Nigerian name, ‘Chioma’ which means ‘good God’ in Igbo. She posted a video about it on her Instagram Story.

Cardi B also made a stop at a local grocery store to buy items that she donated to an orphanage in Lagos. According to Brooklyn Johnny, who accompanied her, she bought as many items as their cars could hold. He captioned his Instagram post with, ‘We spent our only free time in Nigeria shopping for children in need. We literally bought as much as the vehicles we had in our convoy could carry… Today was a good day. Tonight’s show will be special.’
On Sunday, she travelled to Ghana’s capital, Accra. She was greeted by a crowd of people that were excited that the Hustlers star was visiting. However, not everyone was happy. Ghanian celebrities took to social media to say that Cardi B did not show up for a meet and greet that she was scheduled to be at.
Cardi responded and said that she was not aware of the event as it was not at her contract:

She, later, performed at the Accra Sports Stadium while wearing a dress in the colours of the Ghanian flag. She left soon after but she said, ‘I was in Ghana for less then 24 hours. Went thru a lil dilemma but I still had fun.’
We hope that next time she comes to Africa, she comes on down to Southern Africa!
