South African legendary musician Johnny Clegg passed away on Tuesday, 16 July at aged 66 in his home in Johannesburg.
Family spokesperson, Roddy Quinn made a statement saying, ‘It is with immense sadness that we confirm that Jonathan (Johnny) Clegg, OBE OIS, succumbed to pancreatic cancer at the age of 66 on the afternoon of 16 July 2019 at his family home in Johannesburg, South Africa.’

Clegg was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015 and launched a series of farewell concerts in 2017 and 2018 with a variety of artists.
He is survived by his wife Jenny and sons, Jesse and Jarod.
