Ariana Grande Apologises for Instagram Saying "7 Rings" Will "Solve Racism"

“It’s never my intention to offend anybody.”

Ariana Grande just dropped her pink-hued video for “7 Rings”, which—as you’ve probably noticed since it’s been stuck in your head all weekend—includes the lyrics “You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it.”

Ariana’s already come under fire from Princess Nokia for allegedly copying her vibe, and now she’s facing backlash for posting (and deleting) this to Instagram:

Ariana ended up sliding into The Shade Room’s comments to apologise and explain herself, saying “Hi hi. I think her intention was to be like… yay a white person disassociating the negative stereotype [sic] that is paired with the word ‘weave’… however I’m so sorry my response was out of pocket or if it came across the wrong way. Thanks for opening the conversation and like… to everyone for talking to me about it. It’s never my intention to offend anybody.”

The comments on this post are alive, so prepare to spend some time scrolling.
