Lizzie McGuire, I Mean, Hilary Duff is Launching a Makeup Collab

Lookin’ like Lizzie.

Hilary Duff cut her acting teeth when she was cast to play the role of plucky 13-year-old Lizzie McGuire in the hit Disney show. This show, which ran from 2001 to 2004 (and is getting a reboot, just in case four years wasn’t enough for you) centred around the plucky teen and her friends navigating life. Hilary is now 31, a mom, and a more serious actress, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t embrace her inner kid anymore. And what could be more fun than releasing a Gen-Z makeup collab?

Makeup by McGuire

Unlike many other stars who are releasing their own makeup brands, Hilary clearly knows that this is *a lot* of effort, and joined forces with an existing one, Nudestix (that she happens to have shares in). Together they created a six-piece collection called ‘Daydreamer’ which makes sense because we ALL know Lizzie’s head was always in the clouds.

The collection includes a highlighter, a blush, a lip colour and three blendable eye pencils, which come in cooler, autumn shades. The products also come in a cute (and reusable) holographic makeup bag. The star claims while she is a California girl through and through, she was tired of the warm, golden shades and wanted something a bit cosier. And, from the looks of it, her objective was achieved!

Curious as to which shade Lizzie would wear, you know, if she was real? Hilary says that she thinks that her old character would probably gravitate towards the Prism eye pencil, which is a shimmery mauve. And, if the show’s reboot goes ahead as planned, and features the characters all grown up, maybe Liz and her pals WILL be wearing some of the standouts from this cute collab. In the meantime, we’ll just be over here waiting for a release date.
