Hold Up – Are Glitter Eyebrows Going to Be the Next Beauty Trend?

Brows have never been bolder 🔥

Glitter has been coming in and going out of fashion for as long as we can remember (and probably a lot longer than that, TBH). And while this shimmery substance can be used pretty much anywhere, from your hair to your nails or even a full H2T look (we can thank Fenty Beauty‘s Body Lava for that) the most common way that glitter makeup is used is around the eye area. You know, to make sure that they are sparkly AF.

Makeup magician Pat McGrath, however, recently created a look for the Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2019 show that suggests that we may be moving our shimmer upward. That’s right folks, glitter eyebrows are coming in hot.

Blingin’ Brows

The models, including the likes of Gigi Hadid, who walked the Valentino Haute Couture runway had glitter eyebrows, which could be hailed as the next, sparkly beauty trend. The glitter wasn’t actually on the hairs, but rather just under them, giving the illusion of thick, iridescent brows.

This, however, was just the beginning of a look that seems to be the next logical step from putting glitter literally everywhere else. And what makes a brow bolder than covering it with sparkle? Not much!

While some makeup pros are creating brows that are completely encrusted with shine, others are going for a sparser, more subtle effect.

There’s no doubt about it: These lewks are eye-catching AF and easy to recreate using a skin-friendly glitter or loose, shimmery pigment and hair gel or clear mascara. The only downside we can think of – other than some strange looks from passers-by and never not having specks of glitter on you ever again – would be that it doesn’t look very comfortable to wear.

But, as they say, beauty is pain so what’s a *slight itch* when you are rocking this season’s coolest look anyway?
