How to Recreate These Two *FIRE* Festival Hair Trends

Here’s ✨head bling✨ done right!

Unless you have just emerged from a very long hibernation, you will have noticed that it’s not just about the hair anymore – it’s also about the hair accessories. From chunky scrunchies to barrettes (which we saw on celebs like Kylie at Coachella), the way you accessorise your locks these days is one of 2019’s hottest hair trends. This means that you can go wild when it comes to adorning your crowning glory, because if the celebs can do it, so can you.

Need some festival hairstyle inspo? Check out these videos where we show you hair transformations of note, featuring enough hair bling to make anyone shine.

How to Do An Embellished Pony Hairstyle

1 Divide hair so that you have a middle path and smooth down for a slick start to this OTT ‘do.

2 Attach enough hair extensions at the back so that you can create one thick twisted ponytail, and secure the end with a band or clip. Now it’s time to decorate!

3 Start accessorising your hair by sliding in some sparkly hair clips of your choosing. Whether they are diamanté-encrusted, velvet or cute and colourful, the options and combinations are endless.

4 Want to take it up another notch? We gotchu. Next use some metal hoops (earrings work extremely well) and attach them throughout the braid, and then wrap some shiny thread around it too if you want to be extra.

5 Thought we were done adorning? Nope. Now it’s time to stick some diamantés around the front, which can be done using gel.

6 Next, it’s time to make your hair shine. We suggest the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Oil to give you that gleam. ✨

7 Make sure your lewk stays in place with a spritz of TRESemmé Extra Hold Styling Hair Spray and you’re good to go forth and slay.

How to Do Blingy Festival Box Braids

1 Brush your hair out and divide into sections so that the process of installing box braids can begin. This might take a while…Once done, use a lighter and carefully burn the ends of each braid to prevent them from unravelling.

2 Next, get large crystal beads of your choice and, using a needle and thread, sew them onto the bottom of a couple of the front braids on either side of your face…you know, for balance.

3 Gather your braids around the back and swirl them into a big bun on top of your head. Secure this with some clips so that you can get your groove on without worrying about your hair ‘do coming undone.

4 Use a hair smoothening oil, such as the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Oil, to lay and keep flyaways at bay. Then use a spritz of TRESemmé Extra Hold Styling Hair Spray to make sure everything stays in its rightful place.

5 Take your now long, bejewelled front braids and layer them across your head so that the beads dangle around your neck and shoulders. Who needs real jewellery when you’re sporting this level of bling? 🔥
