Dunkin' Donuts Has Released a Line of Vegan Nail Polish

Finger lickin’ good

Beauty is big business, which means that many other brands want to get on this money-making train even if they don’t specialise in makeup or skincare – like food brands. A few years ago, KFC released two nail polishes in Hong Kong that were based on their most popular chicken options, Original Recipe and Hot & Spicy. They were more than just a wash of colour, but they were edible as well.

The latest food franchise who is forcing their way into the beauty space is Dunkin’ Donuts. They – along with nail-care brand Lauren B. Beauty – have released a line of nail polish shades which are based on some of their drinks. And while their version might not be edible, the colours are surprisingly good.

Dunkin’ Donuts Nail Polish is a Total Snack

While the new nail polish line by Dunkin’ Donuts might not be flavoursome, the eight shades that make up this cute collection are trendy and versatile. There is a mix of neutral and fashion colours, ranging from tans to bright red and pink, and the names were inspired by some of their signature lattes. Apparently, these won’t be sold at counters in their stores but will be available at ‘selected salons’ across the USA. Some of the names, such as ‘Cocoa Mocha’ and ‘Caramel Craze’ were taken from their drinks, with the pink and reddish-orange colours, ‘Slam Dunkin’ and ‘Pretty in Dunkin’ getting their shades and names from the stores branding. Clever.

The sad news is that it’s highly unlikely that this collection will make its way to SA shores, so if you want to take a bite outta these varnishes, you might have to start looking at flights. After all, is there any better excuse for a holiday than to get your hands on donut-themed beauty buys?
