- In a new Instagram clip, Dr. Pimple Popper pops a man’s unicorn cyst, aka an enlarged cyst that takes up the whole centre of his forehead.
- Dr. Pimple Popper airs Thursday nights on TLC.
Somehow, Dr. Pimple Popper always makes me feel better about my zits. After watching her videos, I realise quite a few things: (1) I oddly feel less stressed?? (2) My teeny-weeny pimples are not as bad as I think, and (3) if they were, I could always just book the next flight to Los Angeles for an appointment with Dr. Sandra Lee, which is what today’s cystic-acne sufferer did to get alllll the gunk out of a ‘unicorn cyst.’ And no, this pimple pop will NOT feature glitter, rainbows, or sprinkles. Sorry!
Yesterday, Dr. Lee posted an Instagram clip (originally from 2017) of herself with a patient who has an oversize bulbous growth smack-dab in the middle of his forehead—hence the name ‘unicorn cyst.’ Now, get this: This patient says he’s lived with the cystic growth for a whole SIX (6) years!!! God bless him, because at that point, I’d probably get a knife and/or scissors so I could self-operate. And that’s usually how I feel after week two of living with a regular zit.
First, Dr. Lee assesses the damage by doing her usual poking and prodding at the source of the growth. Then, after slicing the bad boy open, she begins squeezing for pus. And WOW, there’s a lottt of sh*t in there. The pop gives a thick ribbon of soft (weirdly creamy, for lack of a better word?), yellow-coloured pimple pus. See for yourself:
By the end of the clip, all the pus is gone—yay! But then the remaining task of excavating that sucker for lingering fibrous material remains. If you wanna see that, you’ll have to watch the whole 22-minute video in full. I don’t make the rules, y’all!
