Can Using a Vibrator on Your Face Improve Your Skin?

Buzz yourself beautiful, or nah?

The sex industry and beauty industry are, for the most part, mutually exclusive. Sure, there are some sensual massage balms and oils floating about but they are essentially made with getting down in mind. We know that massaging your face has tons of skincare benefits, the main one being that it improves blood circulation. It’s this (relatively new) information that has had resulted in every beauty influencer (and their following) becoming devotees to gadgets like jade rollers and having facial treatments like face gym. Knowing this led us to ask the question: Can using a vibrator on your face improve your skin quality? Hear us out.

Buzzed and Beautiful

The stigma around sex toys is finally coming to an end, and there are so many different varieties on the market that if we tried them all, we’d never leave our beds. Vibrators are still the most popular, with more and more women using them solo and incorporating them into their sexual escapades. Fun times!

Facial massaging devices are also pretty popular. This skincare trend started in Asia and has since moved across the pond to find a following in the west as well. Even the celebs are hooked.

But these facial massaging tools sadly don’t come cheap. And, since we love a cost-effective dupe, it got us to thinking whether using a vibrator on your face would yield the same, or similar, results.

Blogger Lauryn Evarts Bosstick of The Skinny Confidential tested this out for a month, using a new vibrator she bought solely for this purpose. Her verdict? That it works like a dream and that everyone should be doing the same for their skin. You COULD use a vibrator that has been using during intercourse if it has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, but investing in a small one from your local sex shop would be a lot cheaper than forking out for the real deal.

Another plus is that many vibrators are designed to be *liquid resistant* (naturally) so you can even switch it on and use it with a serum or facial oil to massage your face while helping your products to absorb. Would woulda thought?

So, with Valentine’s Day around the corner, why not show yourself, and your face, some love? You might soon be buzzing about it too.
