Last night was one of the most anticipated events on the annual fashion calendar – the Met Gala. As was to be expected, the celebs wowed us with their exciting looks based on this year’s theme, ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’. The outfits were so great that you may have failed to notice the spectacular beauty looks, so we’ve rounded them up for your viewing pleasure.
1 Jasmine Sanders
Jasmine knows that long hair is in, and wore some seriously long Rapunzel locks in an intricate braid adorned with red roses. It managed to be sexy and sweet at the same time.
2 Lily Collins
Everything about this look is sheer perfection – her glossy ‘n gothic black lips, bejewelled eye makeup and red tear, slicked-back hair…

… that was braided into this style at the back. This is what art looks like, peeps.
3 Kerry Washington
Unlike Lily, Kerry opted to go big and curly at the Met Gala this year. She didn’t need a crown like many of the others in attendance wore because her hair filled that role pretty well.
4 Ariana Grande
Angelic Ariana wore her signature long ponytail but added a little something extra for the occasion – a big bow with a long veil-like train. She is also giving us seriously winged-eyeliner envy.
5 Sasha Lane
This stunning actress and model used her natural dreadlocks to create her very own crown, which was then adorned with some bling. That, paired with her subtle makeup and gold liner, made her look positively regal.
6 Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka brought some timeless elegance to this year’s event, sporting some fabulous full brows and bold red lips. While most of her hair was covered, what we could see were some waves that perfectly framed her face.
7 Hailey Baldwin
Her makeup was soft and understated, with the focal point being her hair. Hailey sported a light-pink bob topped off with a flower crown which epitomised youth and innocence.
When it comes to a red carpet, Zendaya never disappoints. At this year’s Met Gala she wore minimal makeup, other than the gold eyeliner she had on. Her hair was a choppy, wavy ginger bob with a short fringe. Stunning!
9 Cynthia Erivo
Not many people can pull off the bejewelled-eyebrow look but Cynthia certainly can. Her bleached and moulded Afro was also really impressive, and made her look like a true celestial being.

So Beyoncé couldn’t make it last night, but little sister Solange more than made up for it. Her hair was covered with an elegant black scarf paired with a braided headpiece. She sported smoky eyes and some seriously long bottom lashes. Heavenly is an understatement!
