From *it* girl to runway superstar, and now the global ambassador of YSL Beauté, Kaia Gerber has a bright future ahead.
The model, who turned 17 in a month ago, is definitely following in her mama Cindy Crawford’s footsteps, bagging big campaigns and making a name for herself with her (edgy) beauty and her brains.
‘To be the new face of YSL Beauté is an opportunity to write a new story full of fun, colour and makeup,’ she said in a statement. ‘I love the DNA of a brand that is so subversive while being so luxurious and cool!’

According to reports, Kaia is set to star in campaigns for Rouge Volupté Shine (one of the brand’s new lipstick launches), as well as the cult-status highlighting pen Touche Éclat and much-loved Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils.
Her first campaign, shot by photographer David Sims, and with makeup done by makeup artist and YSL’s Global Beauty Director Tom Pecheux, is set to drop in January 2019 – and we can’t wait to see it.
Kaia is certainly no stranger to fronting campaigns for luxury brands though, having already worked with Chanel, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Versace, as well as designing a clothing range with Karl Lagerfeld and fronting Marc Jacobs Beauty in 2017… All this before the age of 18. I mean, what are we all even doing with our lives?
We wish the (super)model well in her new role with one of our most loved beauty brands.
