- Ariel Winter swapped her jet-black hair for a lighter and brighter shade of strawberry blonde.
- It’s beyond perfect for fall aka pumpkin season!
Another day, another hair change, y’all! Demi Lovato may have led the charge earlier this week when she changed the tips of her hair from slime green to hot pink, but Ariel Winter is now ascending the throne as Hollywood’s latest starlet to switch up their hair just in time for fall’s arrival. I’m not gonna lie, I’m always going to remember Ariel for two things: (1) her role as Alex Dunphy on Modern Family and (2) her luscious raven-coloured hair. Regardless, I love (and stan) a good hair change!
Ariel Winter Has a Brand New ‘Do
In case you haven’t noticed, Ariel wrapped up filming an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit alongside
Olivia Benson Mariska Hargitay. Ariel has been gushing about her love of Law & Order: SVU for, like….ever, so when she was offered the chance to guest star, she immediately said yes. That being said, Ariel was fully invested in committing to her character because the experience was a dream come true. In fact, Ariel was so committed that she might’ve dyed her hair just to fit the part! LOOK:

Tomorrow night 10/3 @ 10pm PDT I am guest starring on my FAVORITE SHOW EVER Law & Order: SVU @nbcsvu I've seen every episode of this show and when I got the email about guest staring in the episode (entitled The Darkest Journey Home) I didn't even need to open it before saying yes. It was a challenge for me in many ways, both personally and professionally. I was so nervous and eager because I wanted to do my best alongside such ridiculously talented people. It was an absolute honor to work with their entire cast and crew (EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WORKS ON IT IS EFFING AWESOME), and I couldn’t be more grateful that I was entrusted to play Reagan. Reagan is wildly different from any character I’ve played. She's special to me because she’s a realistic person. She’s not perfect, she's still figuring herself out. She likes to go out and drink and experiment, and like many of us, she struggles with accepting herself and being honest. The episode wrestles with the restrictions of being a “credible” victim/witness. Making mistakes, or experimenting with things some may frown upon, does not mean you should be an open target for sexual assault. NOTHING anyone does could EVER possibly warrant that. It was a challenge to bring this all to life, because I have a fear of failure and a hard time relinquishing control. Like many people, it was hard for me to accept change and criticism. But the amazing guidance of @therealmariskahargitay & Jean, our director, helped me break down walls and look at the material in a new way. Mariska worked with me not only as an actress but as a person, and I feel I have grown immensely from the experience. The amount of care and interest she showed in me as a person was amazing. She was truly interested in my life story and always made me feel heard. She was honest and gave me some of the most accurate advice I've ever been given. She pushed me as an actress and as a person. I couldn't be luckier I had this experience. People like her are RARE in and out of this industry. She cares deeply about everyone. She care about her show. Most importantly she cares about representing and doing justice by the brave people that relate to the stories❤️ #svu
Ariel showed off the to-die-for shade of strawberry blonde on Instagram, and I sh*t you not, I almost scrolled past her in my feed! She honestly looks so different with the colour, which is several shades and tones lighter than her usual vampy tresses. Ariel’s hair is not quite blonde, and it’s not quite orange or red—it’s both at the same time. I’m obsessed, but it wasn’t the first time she debuted a similar colour.
Back in May, Ariel dyed her hair a much more intense colour that leaned closer to a true orange. Not sure why she dyed it (maybe she started filming SVU back then?), but I’m sure not complaining!
Welp, here’s to hoping Ariel keeps the strawberry blonde around for a while—it’s a welcome change that’s perfect for the season!
