The Grammys is the most anticipated event in the music industry and this year the stars brought it, both on stage and in the beauty department. Here are eight looks we can’t stop staring at.
1 Cardi B
Subtle isn’t something that’s in Cardi B‘s repertoire, but that’s okay because we knew she’d slay the red carpet at this year’s Grammys. And she did, by wearing a Venus-inspired gown and adorning her up-do with pearls. That, teamed with a purple smokey eye, was ethereal perfection.

This just in: @iamcardib has won the Best Rap Album award, at the Grammy Awards, making her the first solo woman to do so. While accepting the award for her album, Invasion of Privacy, the musician got emotional. "I want to thank my daughter,” she said. “I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter. It’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete, like three songs that I was for sure having. And then you know, you know how it was, we was like, we have to get this album done so I could still do videos while I’m still not showing. And it was very long nights.” . 📷: @gettyimages . #CardiB #Rap #grammys #grammys2019 @recordingacademy
2 Janelle Monáe
Sure, it may have been Janelle’s insane hat that got most of the attention on the red carpet, but a closer look reveals navy-blue eyeliner and guilded eyelids which, combined with her bold brows, was a definite hit. And her thick plait cascading down her back? Gorgeous!
3 Alicia Keys
Alicia wasn’t lying when she vowed to stop wearing makeup and put her natural face forward because that’s what she did at the Grammys – the biggest night of the music industry – and she couldn’t have looked more sublime. We wish we looked half as good when we went bare-faced!
4 Camilla Cabello
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and Camilla Cabello definitely brought the romance to the red carpet. Her long, loose ponytail with a Bardot-style fringe was paired with monochromatic makeup on her lips and cheeks in a rosy pink. Dreamy, understated elegance at its finest.
5 Tracee Ellis Ross
Can you even with Tracee’s hair?! The thigh-grazing length of her braids and the cornrows up top came together to create a look that gave us some serious hair envy. A dusting of bronze shimmer on her eyelids was all that was needed to complete this seriously luxe ensemble.
6 Andra Day
This singer stepped onto the red carpet with a throwback look to rival all throwbacks. She served us a ’60s look complete with a loose boufant, curled ends hairdo and graphic, bold, glittery eyeshadow that brings the iconic era into 2019 in the best possible way.

7 Miley Cyrus
When it comes to hair, the wet look is in. But for a more natural take on the trend, why not take a leaf out of Miley’s book? At the Grammys this weekend, she went for the ‘damp’ look instead, concentrating gel around the roots. That, with subtle winged liner, made the newlywed look fresh and fab.
8 Dua Lipa
Glass hair – or hair so shiny you could use it to touch up your makeup – is really hot right now. Dua Lipa obviously knows this, because her bob was almost as shiny as the award trophies she won at the event. The nude makeup she wore with it only amplified that megawatt shine.
