Pink-and-White Half-Moon Mani Monday

Because Valentine’s Day is around the corner, this week’s half-moon mani is inspired by the lovely shades of pink and white that are currently on our Love Issue cover and I must admit, this mani is beyond adorable.

You’ll need:

  • Well-filed and shaped nails
  • Pink, opaque nail polish
  • White, opaque nail polish
  • Base coat and a clear top coat
  • Hole-reinforcement stickers
  • A dotting tool
  • Silver studs or mini sequins

Step 1: Apply one layer of base coat to each nail. Wait for your nails to dry, then apply two coats of white polish on all your nails.

Step 2: Once the white polish has dried completely, paste a hole-reinforcement sticker on the bottom of each nail. Polish one coat of the pink polish on the exposed top part of the nail.

Step 3: Wait for the pink polish to dry and then remove the sticker. You should now have a white half-moon at the bottom of your nail.

TIP: If your white polish smudges as you remove the sticker, use a white nail-polish pen to cover any smudged areas.

Step 4: Now apply a silver sequin or stud in the centre of the half-moon. Use a dotting tool to do this.

TIP: If you’re struggling to lift up the sequins with your dotting tool, dip the tip of it into a bottle of clear polish. This will leave the tip sticky, making it easier to lift the sequins up.

Step 5: Seal your work with a top coat. Now repeat this on each nail.
