Got a pen ready? Below are three concealer rules you have to jot down.
1 Colour-correcting is really important
Colour-correcting will change your life. Apply orange concealer first before you apply your skin-toned concealer. The orange will neutralise and diminish blue or purple under-eye circles and also help conceal noticeable pigmentation on your face. Choose an orange colour-corrector that’ll match the lightness or darkness of your complexion. Fair-skinned girls should always choose peach-coloured concealers and orange concealers work best on darker skin tones.
2 Bake the concealer underneath your eyes
Under-eye concealer always has to be set with powder because concealer and powder really do go hand in hand. This is when baking comes into play. Use a soft, blending eye-shadow brush to apply translucent powder over your concealer. Apply enough so that the powder is actually visible. Allow it to set for about 15 minutes, and then blend it into your skin with a damp Beauty Blender. There you go, no more concealer creases.
3 Get defined, Instagram-worthy brows
You know those perfect eye brows you always see on Instagram – with their perfectly defined and sharp edges? Well, when it comes to the art of brow sculpting, concealer is pretty much like a makeup eraser. Once you’re done lining and filling your brows, use a flat concealer brush to clean and sharpen the edges of your brows.
