'Turns Out He's Into Furry Porn' and 4 Other Snooping Discoveries

‘I don’t find it sexy at all.’

It’s safe to say that many of us have snooped through our partner’s phones or computers before. And if you have, then you’ll know it’s mostly a terrible idea. If you find nothing, you’re left feeling like a distrustful asshole; if you find something, you still have to acknowledge you were a distrustful asshole, even though you kinda have a leg to stand on. Here are five women who had a cheeky snoop and saw some things that they should not have seen.

1 ‘Quite honestly, I was just bored and decided to snoop through his phone while he was in the shower. His best friend of 12 years had just come out of the closet to him over text and had made him promise he wouldn’t tell anyone – not even me. I feel so awful that I know this when I shouldn’t.’ – Clare, 27

2 ‘I was sitting on the couch with my boyfriend of four years and I noticed the way he was tilting his phone away from me. It was so subtle but I knew it meant something was up. I went through his Facebook messages when he was in the bathroom. Turns out he’d been emotionally involved with a girl he’d studied with. He tried to convince me they were friends, but he’d never so much as mentioned her name before. A week later he broke up with me and she broke up with her boyfriend of three years, and they started dating.’ – M, 26

3 ‘I thought my husband was being shady, so I went through his phone. Turns out his mom really doesn’t like me, and often tells my husband this. I thought we got on fabulously. I can’t confess to my snooping because all he’s done is defend me to his mom. Now I play dumb whenever I’m around her, and I feel so awkward.’ – Vix, 29

4 ‘I snooped, and I discovered that my boyfriend is really into furry porn. You know – where people dress up in animal costumes? I’m sad he didn’t feel he could tell me about it, but I’m also nervous to bring it up in case he asks me to, you know, actually take part in it. I don’t find it sexy at all.’ – Aleisha, 24

5 ‘I now know all the details of how my partner is planning on proposing. I hate myself for ruining that experience for myself, and that I’ll have to play dumb with him when it happens.’ – G, 29
