Making Up pg2

We spoke to Dr Bonnie Eaker Weil, author of Make Up, Don’t Break Up to find out how you can move past those tough times with your partner and save your relationship. Whether you’re not communicating properly or argue all the time about the smaller things, we’re pretty sure you can still make it work. Here’s how…

1. You’re Drifting Apart If the spark is dying, it’s time to bring the sizzle back. Be playful, kiss and hug more often and make an effort to stay connected through sex. Schedule ‘connection’ time, but don’t discuss your problems with each other then. This is the time for connecting, not complaining. When you do talk about issues, try not to be sarcastic – instead focus on talking about each other’s interests.

Don’t use SMS or e-mail to connect. Being physically together or at least making phone time for each other increases your endorphins and lets you reclaim your initial attraction.

2. You Can’t Talk To Each Other Like You Used To
3. You Argue All The Time
4. He Is Being Secretive
5. Your Job Is Causing You To Spend More Time Apart
